In June 2008, Hebrew New Testaments were set ablaze in a bonfire with the deputy Mayor of the city present. Just weeks before, also just outside of Tel Aviv (spring 2008), a young Israeli Messianic Jew was the victim of a terror attack, allegedly by Ultra-Orthodox extremists who violently oppose the Gospel.
